WMD: WYSIWYM Rich Text Editor
I was looking for a good rich text editor for my hobby project (separate post about that sometime later), and was looking at various options which are available (for free). I had used one free RTB for ASP.NET in the past but since I wasn’t very impressed by it I did some investigation and found FCKeditor, Yahoo RTB, Obout, WidgEditor and WMD.
After investigating and reading about all of them in details, I finally decided to go with WMD since it exactly matches with what I needed and was very easy to integrate (works on all browser, light weight, minimum configuration easily possible, support markdown, live preview etc). So far I haven’t seen any major issues with it and this seems to be a good choice.
